Youth Council

A small grant from Calderdale Council's Community Services meant members of the GALYIC Youth Council could go to Brighton to meet members of the AllSorts LGBT Youth Group Council to find out what their Youth Council did and attended a gay-prom. A member of the GALYIC Board of Trustees regularly attended the Youth Council meetings to ensure members' concerns and/or suggestions fed into GALYIC Board meetings.

The Youth Council met every month; its main role was to develop the youth programme of activities, apply for funding for the programme and evaluate the programme, ensuring it met the needs of all members.

The minutes were available on the Forum. However, as Facebook became a more popular way of communication the Forum was dropped.
