Drop-in

Every Thursday from 5pm to 6:15pm we hold a drop-in session at the Connexions Centre in Halifax. Here you can drop-in with or without an appointment and have a chat with one of the workers.

New members often come to the drop-in to meet a GALYIC worker and some of the members before going onto the youth group for the first time. Some members come to the drop-in straight from school or work before going onto the youth group to save them going home and coming back into Halifax. Sometimes parents come to the drop-in to have a chat with workers about their child being LGBT. The upper age limit for the drop-in is 21 years.

Sometimes workers from other agencies come to the drop-in to discuss how they can best support a young person who has come out to them
