Experience of Trainer

Jan Bridget completed a 'train the trainers' course whilst working as a Rural Youth Worker for Lancashire County Council in 1983 and tutored on the part-time introduction to youth work training course.

Jan began training on issues around sexual orientation in 1987, she has provided tailor-made training packages for youth workers, housing, probation service, mental health workers, nurses, as well as developing a ten-session module aimed at community and youth workers which she taught at the University of Manchester for several years; she also developed a module on multi-oppression and another on class oppression.

Jan has also given presentations at many local, regional and national conferences, including Department of Health Single Equality Scheme seminars.
